This policy describes how cancellations and refunds work for paid DIYPR subscriptions. By subscribing, you agree to this policy and to our Terms of Service.
1. Cancellation
- You can cancel your subscription anytime from your account settings.
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain full access until that date.
- We do not bill you again after cancellation. There are no cancellation fees, no contracts, and no penalty for leaving.
2. Monthly subscriptions
Monthly fees are non-refundable once charged. If you cancel mid-month, your access continues until the next billing date but is not pro-rated back.
Exceptions where we will issue a full refund:
- You were charged after cancelling (system error on our side).
- You are billed twice for the same period.
- You report unauthorised use within 30 days and we confirm fraud.
3. Annual subscriptions
Annual subscribers pay 10 months of fees for 12 months of access (2 months free).
- Within 14 days of the annual purchase: full refund on request, no questions asked.
- Between 14 days and 90 days: pro-rated refund of unused months, minus the 2 free months credited at purchase.
- After 90 days: no refund, but you can cancel renewal anytime to avoid future charges.
4. AI usage charges (BYO-AI mode)
If you use Bring-Your-Own-AI mode, you are billed directly by OpenAI / Anthropic. DIYPR has no visibility into or control over those charges. Refund requests for AI usage must be raised with the AI provider, not DIYPR.
5. Service-level credits
If our service is fully unavailable for more than 5 consecutive days due to issues on our side (excluding scheduled maintenance announced in advance), we will credit your next monthly invoice with the equivalent of those days. Credit is automatic — no need to request.
6. Account deletion vs cancellation
Cancellation stops billing. Account deletion permanently removes your data per our Privacy Policy and the DPDP Act's Right to Erasure. Either is irreversible after 30 days from the date of action.
7. How to request a refund
Email billing@diypr.in with:
- The email address on your DIYPR account
- The transaction ID or invoice number
- Reason for the refund (a sentence is fine)
We respond within 5 working days. Approved refunds reach your card / UPI within 7–14 working days, depending on your bank.
8. Disputes & jurisdiction
Refund disputes follow the dispute-resolution clause in our Terms of Service. Any unresolved disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in [City TBD — Bengaluru or Mumbai, fill before launch].
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. Material changes are emailed to active subscribers at least 30 days in advance. Continued use after an update means acceptance.
